Zoom: Creating and Saving a Recording It is advised that you have the latest version of the Zoom Client for Meetings installed before attempting this process. https://zoom.us/download Recording your Zoom Meeting Note: Only the host of the meeting can record. Start your meeting. Whenever you are ready to record click on the Record button. If your Zoom window isn't maximized then the Record button may be hidden. If so click More and then Record. In the menu that appears click on Record on this Computer.Note: These options only appear if you have permission to record to the cloud. For most users a local recording will start immediately after hitting the Record button. When the recording begins you should see a notification with controls in the upper left corner of the Zoom window. Clicking the Pause button will pause the current recording.To resume recording, click the Play button in the same location. Clicking the Stop button will end the current recording.Recordings can be stopped and started throughout the same meeting but each time you start and stop a new recording is created. Ending the meeting will also stop and save the current recording. When the meeting is finished click the End button in the lower right. Click the End Meeting for All button in the menu that appears. Saving your Recording After the meeting ends Zoom will immediately begin converting the recording to .mp4 format. Let the process complete. Once the conversion completes a window will open asking where you wish to save the recording. Choose a location you are familiar with and click OK. A window will open, and a list of files will appear. Select the .mp4 file and copy the file to a convenient location where it can be uploaded.Note: You can rename the copy as long as the .mp4 extension is not changed. Return to Zoom Overview
