Poll Everywhere (Students) - Register for Credit This document describes how to register for in-class polling. Not all instructors will require you to register. Typically, only instructors who are grading your responses will ask that you register, so your responses can be identified and you can receive credit. If you are responding via the web or the Poll Everywhere app: NOTE: If you are already registered/logged into Poll Everywhere, you may be directed to the instructor's poll without having to complete the steps below. Navigate to https://pollev.com and enter your instructor's Poll Everywhere username (displayed on screen in class) and click Join. Depending on how the poll has been configured, you will either click the Register or Log in button. Enter your WFU email address and click Next. Click Log in with Wake Forest University and log in with your WFU Google account. Confirm your first and last name and click Sign up for my Poll Everywhere account. Click Join presentation. NOTE: Your app or browser should remember this presentation. You should not need to Join the same instructor's presentation again unless you clear your browser history. You may be required to log back in at the start of each class period, however. To respond via text message, complete these additional steps: In addition to the steps above, you must register your mobile number to respond via text message. Navigate to https://pollev.com/settings and log in with your WFU Google account. Click the Edit Phone link to add your mobile phone number Enter your mobile phone including the country code prefix (+1 for US numbers) and click Save. Click the Certify link next to your phone number and follow the instructions on the screen to verify your number. NOTE: Even if you did not certify your number before polling in class, you can still do this after class and all of your "unregistered" responses will then be tied to your name. If you respond to polls via text message, you should certify your number as soon as possible to avoid losing credit for your responses.
