Customize your Wake Forest internal directory profile in Google Contacts
The Wake Forest University internal directory is part of our @wfu.edu Google Workspace platform and includes all students, faculty, and staff, so it's a great way for Deacs to find each other and easily chat, email or meet with them on campus or off. Some information in your Wake Forest Google account is managed by our systems of record (Banner/WIN, Workday), but there are many fields that you may customize. Read on to see what you can add, and how.
Add or Change your Profile Picture
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- Your profile can be found at myaccount.google.com/profile
- Under "Basic info," click Profile Picture.
- Click Change.
- Upload a photo or choose one of your Google Photos.
- Rotate and crop your photo as needed.
- At the bottom left, click Save as profile picture.
Tips:
You can tap and edit your profile picture in most places where your picture shows up.
To find past profile pictures, at the top right, click More, then Past profile pictures.
Organization Info
- Visit your profile at myaccount.google.com/profile
- In the Organization info section, see information populated for you by tapping See organization info
- The fields are populated by Workday for students, faculty and staff.
Faculty & Staff: Update Organization Info
This is information is synchronized from Workday. Log into Workday and do the following:
To update your location:
- Search for the "Change My Work Space" task
- Use the "x" to delete the previous entry for Worrell and then search for and add your Farrell Hall location
To update your phone number:
- Search for the "Change My Contact Information" task
- Scroll to the "Work Contact Information" section and look for the "Primary Phone" section
- Click the Pencil icon to update your phone to your new number and click the Checkmark icon
Please note that these changes must be approved by your supervisor. Once approved, it may take 24 hours for the new location and phone number to appear in Google Contacts.
