How to create an Appointment Schedule
Appointment Schedules help you stay organized, Google Calendar automatically sends:
- Confirmation emails
- Reminder emails
- Cancellation emails
- Event update emails
Appointment schedules must be created on a computer NOT a mobile device.
Create an appointment schedule
- On a computer, log in to your WFU Google account.
- Open your Google calendar.
- At the top left, click Create+.
- Click Appointment schedule.
- Enter a title.
- The title is visible to anyone who has the link to your booking page.
- The title appears on your calendar for schedules and bookings.
- Set your Appointment duration.

To set a duration, next to "30 minutes," click the Down arrow.

Appointments must be at least 15 minutes long.
- Set your General availability: date and time of your appointments.
- One-time appointments or a recurring schedule.
- Set up how far in advance appointments can be booked under Scheduling window and select a range from 4 hours to 60 days.

Adjust availability for a specific date (if needed).
- Add buffer time between appointments and limit the number of bookings on a single day under Booked appointment settings.
- Click Next.
- Review Booking page photo and name and make changes if needed.
- Set the Location or conference details.
- Set Booking form preferences:
- Set Booking confirmations and reminders if needed.
- Click Save.
Once an appointment schedule has been created, click the schedule and click the Edit icon and make any necessary changes.
Notes:
- Appointment schedules can also be created directly in the calendar as long as the calendar does not have an event scheduled.
Click a time on the Calendar > Select Appointment schedule > Create a new appointment schedule or Add availability to an existing schedule.
This option only works in Day or Week view.
- Google Calendar avoids schedule conflicts if you RSVP, "Yes" or "Maybe" to an event on the Google Calendar. The block of time won't appear free.
- New appointments appear on your WFU calendar.
