Kaltura: How to save Camtasia Studio files to upload into Kaltura
Camtasia Studio files can be saved and uploaded to Kaltura for captioning and sharing. While Kaltura hosts many features, Camtasia offers a greater selection of options for video creation for users who have the knowledge and time to create videos with this tool.
- Create or open a video file to upload in Camtasia Studio.
- When all editing is complete, save the file before converting it to an MP4 for export.

Select Share > Local File.
- In the File Format dropdown, select an MP4 only option with the desired resolution.
- Click Next.
- In the How would like to produce your video window, select MP4 – Smart Player.
- Click Next.
- In the Smart Player Options window > Controller tab, confirm that Produce with controller is not checked.
- Click Next.
- In the Video Options window, accept Camtasia’s default settings.
- Click Next.
- In the Produce Video window, enter a Production name to name the file and designate where the file is saved.
- Click Finish.
- Camtasia Studio will render the video and automatically open the file when complete.
Note the location of the saved file so that it can be uploaded to Kaltura.
