Google error: The browser or app may not be secure
When using Google 2-Step Verification to sign into another app, the following error may appear:
Couldn't sign you in
This browser or app may not be secure.
To correct this error, please make the following adjustments to your Internet Options for Internet Explorer to correct this issue:
- Go to Start -> Search for and launch Internet Options
- Click Security tab

Click Trusted sites

Click Sites
- Add https://accounts.google.com

Click Add

Click Close
- Go back to the General tab
- Under Browsing history make sure the box for Delete browsing history on exit is unchecked

Click Delete
- Ensure the box for Cookies and website data is checked

Click Delete to close
- Click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box
- Close Internet Explorer
- Re-launch Internet Explorer from your task bar or from the Start Menu
- Navigate to https://accounts.google.com and log in with your WFU account
- Follow the steps to log in including providing any Google 2-factor authentication requests
Once you have successfully logged into the site, you may now close Internet Explorer.
Open the application you were previously blocked from and log in normal.
